The Google Search Status Dashboard reports widespread issues affecting many sites or users and ranking updates relevant to site owners. It is not a diagnostic tool for an individual website.
Match ranking volatility to dates
When organic traffic changes suddenly, compare the timing with the start and end of a ranking update. Segment pages, queries, and countries before making site-wide changes.
No incident does not mean no site issue
If Google reports no widespread event, still check Search Console, robots.txt, server responses, canonicals, rendering, and indexing signals specific to your site.
Recovery can lag behind a fix
Google says a fixed incident may continue to affect sites until reprocessing is complete. Keep before-and-after benchmarks for crawling, indexing, and search performance.

Where does this status data come from?+
The product catalog, incidents, impact levels, timestamps, and updates come from the public Google Search Status Dashboard JSON. The official RSS feed remains available for subscriptions.
How often is this page updated?+
An automated job checks Google official data once per day. The site snapshot changes only when the source dataset changes, avoiding meaningless versions.
Does “all systems operational” mean my site has no SEO problem?+
No. Google mainly reports widespread incidents affecting many sites or users. A crawling, indexing, ranking, or technical issue limited to your site may not appear here.
Should I change my site immediately during a core update?+
Usually not based on short-term volatility alone. Wait for the rollout to finish, segment the affected pages and queries, and make changes based on durable evidence about quality, relevance, and user value.
