How to turn an audit score into action

  1. 1. Verify the critical finding. Check the live response, rendered HTML, and preferred canonical before changing a template.
  2. 2. Fix blockers before polish. Prioritize accidental noindex, crawl failures, broken canonicals, redirect loops, and missing primary content.
  3. 3. Group repeated issues. If many URLs share one defect, repair the component or delivery rule instead of editing every page.
  4. 4. Re-run the same sample. Compare the same URLs after release and confirm the live result, not only the CMS setting.

What the score does not prove

A technical score is a triage aid. It does not prove that a page is helpful, that Google will index it, or that a ranking change came from one flagged item.

  • Validate recommendations against the page's real search intent.
  • Use Search Console and analytics to identify affected queries and URLs.
  • Review content originality, evidence, authorship, and next-step usefulness separately.
  • Do not create new pages merely to raise a coverage score.
